"Start children off on the way they should go and even when they are old, they will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6

E-Vengers

Our E-Vengers consist of 1 pupil from each Keystage 1 class. This year the children decided if they would like the opportunity to be an E-venger and a name was drawn from the hat for each class. The E-vengers support the Computing/E-Safety lead for a term and then a new set of leaders are given the opportunity to help.  These leaders attend meeting every fortnight.

Last year our E-vengers...

Created posters

We looked at all aspects of our SMART poster and decided what each letter represents. The children created a poster for each letter, and we merged these together into a larger poster.

Created E-Safety sacks

The children supported the E-Safety lead by making information packs for all classes Reception to Year two. The children looked at the stories for each year group and helped to ensure the information was relevant to current themes and interests.

Create Safety shapes

This took us a few weeks to complete, but using scrap material we made some safety shapes that can be used in the safety packs or in class. We are still in discussion and agreement about how these will be used.

E-Safety drop in session

We also had a drop in session on the play ground where children could ask questions or voice any concerns.

Promoting E-Safety at home

Children created posters with QR codes so that parents could scan these at home and watch a video link about how to keep their family safe online.

This Year

The E-vengers are all new to the role so we are spending this half-term familiarising ourselves with the equipment and how they can support teachers with using and distributing these safely. We will be preparing ourselves for our first whole school assembly and E-Safety week (this will take place in February)
