"Start children off on the way they should go and even when they are old, they will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6

Year 2 at Burwell

The Year 2 children had the most amazing time on the residential trip to Burwell. Over the three days there the children took part in so many activities that it was non stop fun! One of the activities was pond dipping. The children collected pond life using nets, they were fascinated by what they found. They also learnt how to make a fire using a flint and steel, which was not easy! Another challenge was to build a shelter, just using tarpaulin and rope. The children had to work together to come up with ideas on how to build the best shelter. Once they built it they were tested on how waterproof it was, by Mrs Leggett using her water pistol!!

In addition to all the activities, the children sang at the camp fire whilst making s'mores and each day they had to set up and clear away the tables at meal times. During our time there the children worked so well together and always helped each other.
